First United Methodist Church Kids will host a blood drive for South Texas Blood and Tissue Center.

Palm Sunday, April 2nd
8 AM to 12 NOON
Refreshments will be provided for donors and activities for children while they wait for their parents.

Are you eligible to give blood? 

Your ability to give blood is based on eligibility criteria from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA’s guidelines are followed by all blood centers in the nation and your eligibility is determined by your medications, travel, health conditions, and lifestyle.

To donate blood or platelets, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old, weigh 120 pounds and present a signed parental consent form or be 17 years old or older, and weigh at least 110 pounds.

• Be in good general health.

• Present a valid photo ID.
