Dr. Jim Gardner, Ph.D., LPC, is returning to Uvalde from Saturday, July 22nd, through Thursday, July 27th, to help community members overcome feelings of grief, anger, shame, sadness, depression, and anxiety. He uses the prayer principle of the Set Free Prayer Ministry to help people overcome these emotions associated with trauma so they can experience genuine peace and strengthen their relationships. Dr. Gardner is available for free individual counseling sessions for those requesting it from Saturday, July 22nd, until Thursday, July 27th. Please text Dr. Gardner at 918-413-5475 to schedule an appointment.
On Saturday, July 22nd, he will be holding a public event at El Progreso Memorial Library from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. He will be sharing with the public an effective faith-based way to find healing from grief, anger, fear, and shame from the shooting on May 24th, 2022, and local residents will share personal testimonies of how they were set free from these emotions. Lunch will be provided at noon, then Dr. Gardner will give a live demonstration of how to overcome grief, anger, and shame. Local prayer ministers will be present to meet with attendees privately.
