Blood Drive - St. Philip's Episcopal Church

  • St. Philip's Episcopal Church 343 North Getty Street Uvalde, TX, 78801 United States (map)

More than 2,000 blood donations were collected in the first couple of days in response to the Robb Elementary shooting. Many donors stood in the heat for hours to help meet the blood demands. But did you know that the blood bank is always in need. Don't wait for an emergency situation to become a blood donor. Blood donations typically decline in the summer months as there are no school drives and fewer donors available due to traveling. The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center are working diligently to set up blood drives to ensure that the demands of patients and hospitals can be met during the summer months.

St. Philip's is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, July 27th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., in Briscoe Hall. Please consider giving blood and saving lives. Each donor will be given a United for South Texas - Uvalde Strong t-shirt as well as your choice of gift card from Airbnb, Southwest Airlines, Amazon and more! Please schedule your appointment today!

Are you eligible to give blood?

Your ability to give blood is based on eligibility criteria from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA’s guidelines are followed by all blood centers in the nation and your eligibility is determined by your medications, travel, health conditions, and lifestyle.

To donate blood or platelets, you must:
